Not a week goes by without new rumors or supposed information about Hollow Knight: Silksong. The development studio Team Cherry continues to keep a low profile, but now there are at least reassuring statements from a member of the team.
What do Half-Life 3, Hollow Knight: Silksong and Bloodborne have in common? Of course, disappointed fan bases that feed purely on copium and soak up every bit of supposed information like a sponge soaks up water. Unlike the other two games, Hollow Knight: Silksong actually exists.

But does Metroidvania really exist? Fans are slowly starting to doubt this because it feels like it's been ages since the last official information about the release or development status. None of the announced release periods were met and development has now been going on for six years.
But don't worry, Matthew Griffin took to Twitter (or X as some people call it) to speak out. He works in marketing for the development studio Team Cherry and recently answered a fan's question about Silksong with very clear words: “Yes, the game is real, is developing and will be released.”
Yes the game is real, progressing and will release.

Well then everything is great. We still don't know when Silksong will come, which system Hornet's tank will be on and which gameplay elements await us. But it's good to know that Team Cherry seems to be on track. Good things take time.
There are also wild rumors that on April 2, 2025, during the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, it will be announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong will also be coming to the Nintendo console. Because Hollow Knight creator William Pellen promises big news on Twitter and has changed his profile picture to a piece of cake. A reverse search on Google throws up a recipe uploaded on April 2, 2024. If that's not clear.
