Guerrilla Games releases patch 1.08 Horizon Forbidden West.
While the patch has addressed many issues, the team is still working on some issues. This includes ongoing adjustments to reported graphics issues with flickering, sharpening, and screen saturation.
There is also a very specific issue where some players have reported various types of traversal issues after quickly heading to a campfire while gliding through a tornado.
The team is also investigating the issue of earning rewards for completing the Black Box Collectibles event.
Regarding quests, we won’t be posting these notes here as they may contain spoilers, so please note that seven main quests, four world events and six side quests have been addressed.
Other fixes include an issue where the Machine Strike UI would briefly flicker at the end of the game; multiple crash fixes have been applied; multiple performance and streaming improvements to cutscenes; the team removed multiple unintentional loading and black screens, and Handles multiple instances of streaming and visual popups.
Guerrilla has made several improvements to the movement and animation of NPCs in settlements, it is easier to mark individual components when using movement to aim and scan machines, and potions or tools that no longer fit in your tool belt will now be moved to the stash.
Made some balance changes to weapons and enemies, fixed several instances where Aloy could get stuck in geometry, fixed an issue where mount calls would sometimes cause flying mounts to spawn in undesired locations and be unreachable in rare cases, And applying several data points that are in areas you can’t go back to will now automatically unlock when you leave that space.
Instances of particular music tracks getting stuck and repeating are no longer an issue.
