Horizon Zero Dawn became a hit on PlayStation 4 – the colleagues GamePro awarded 90. now the open world game has also been announced for the PC and should be released in summer 2020. Steam already has the corresponding product in the shop. We summarize, what is included in the Complete Edition and what we know about the system requirements.
This is in the Complete Edition
The main game: a massive open world adventure
This is what you can expect from Story & Gameplay: Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in an unusual post-apocalypse in which giant machine beings roam the countryside and people have returned to a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. You take on the role of Aloy, an outcast of the Nora tribe.
The open game world and the varied combat system are core elements by Horizon. Aloy can use different weapons (bows, slingshots, spears), which is also necessary thanks to different enemy mechanics and weak points. They can also be adapted to personal preferences through upgrades. You can further specialize Aloy via a skill system, for example in close combat or sneaking. With the help of the focus (comparable to the witchcraft from The Witcher 3), you can scan your opponent for weak points and examine the surroundings.
The main story takes about 30 hours. There are also many side quests and optional challenges, so that Horizon alone can occupy 50 to 100 hours – depending on how much time you want to invest. The story received a lot of praise for the release, especially because of some interesting ideas about robo-dinosaurs and the likeable protagonist. Of course, we don't want to reveal too much.
The Frozen Wilds expansion
This is in the addon: Also included in the Complete Edition on Steam is the addon Frozen Wilds, which adds a completely new area and thus enlarges the game world by about a quarter. You can spend another 10 to 15 hours of play in the frosty tundra. There is also a fourth skill tree and new equipment for Aloy.
Since the machines in this area are extremely strong, it is advisable to only enter the Frozen Wilds later in the game, otherwise the frustration will quickly grab you.

The Steam edition also contains some additional content such as special armor and weapons.

- Banuk Trailblazer Outfit and Banuk Culling Bow
- Banuk Traveler Pack
- Nora Keeper Pack
