Since the end of “Game of Thrones”, fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting the prequel series “House of the Dragon”. Now HBO has finally released the first trailer for this one – and rekindles real GoT feelings.
In August, the long wait for more Game of Thrones will come to an end: After the end of the main series, HBO will release the prequel “House of the Dragon”. The first season will start on August 22nd and can initially be seen in Germany again exclusively on the pay-TV channel Sky.
In the run-up to the start of the new series, HBO is now stoking the anticipation, because today the first teaser clip was finally published. Based on George RR Martin’s prequel book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon takes place well before the main series Game of Thrones and focuses on the Targaryens’ journey to reclaim the Iron Throne.
Anyone who has seen the main series will already find many of the most important houses from the later series in the teaser. Among other things, Lord Rickon Stark or Boremund Baratheon can be seen. Incidentally, the most important protagonists include Viserys and his chosen heir to the throne and daughter Rhaenyra – but the Lords do not like to see a woman on the Iron Throne.
