If you want to upgrade Ayaka and maximize her talent, you need a lot of Soul Shock Gauntlets project.
These are a set of new materials dropped by the Wandering Warrior in the new Lightning Update. So far, Nobushi seems to only spawn in a few places, so when you upgrade Ayaka, expect some repeat visits.

Genshin Impact Nobushi location
New Nobushi enemies will drop Hanguard series items. There are several different types of these swordsmen:
- Nikkei
- Xinxi Red Fan
- Faith Gold Front Page
Hitsukeban relies on firecrackers and fast knives to disrupt the enemy. Kikouban uses charged crossbow arrows, while Jintouban is the standard Nobushi wielding their swords.
Everyone has a chance to drop handguard items.
We are still studying all possible Nobushi locations, but we are sure that the one area where they will spawn is Mount Yougou, just north of the Grand Narukami Shrine. If you look for Nobushi in the manual, this is where your manual points to you.

Any Nobushi enemy can discard these.

These may fall from Nobushi enemies of level 40 or higher.

The highest-level handguard items will only drop from level 60 or higher Nobushi enemies.
You can also find all of these in the shop section of Paimon’s Bargains, where you can exchange for Masterless Starglitter or Stardust. Like all other Ascension materials, item crafting allows you to turn unneeded low-level gauntlets into high-level gauntlets. Three of any low-level items will give you a higher-level item.
So far, it seems that only Ayaka has used the Genshin Impact Handguard series of items. Unlike Sakura Bloom, her level promotion and talent promotion both need handguards, so if you want to build Ayaka, please plan to see a lot of Nobushi.
