It’s unfortunate, but there’s not all good news during this Summer Game Fest 2023. One of the most anticipated Xbox exclusive games from the Xbox Showcase has claimed that it won’t be part of the game. But there is a very good reason for that.
There are many announcements during this Summer Game Fest 2023 and yet it has only just begun. After a big party on June 8th hosted by good old Geoff Keighley, it’s Microsoft and its Xbox Showcase followed by a live Starfield-themed show that’s bound to turn heads. In addition, the green marking is expected at the turn. Its exclusives are rare, most have been pushed back, and while gamers love Xbox Game Pass, they’re all a little tired of waiting for exclusives. Unfortunately, some have not yet reached the end of their problems.
One less Xbox exclusive for the showcase
Yes, it’s sad, but it will be missing one of the big titles expected from this Xbox Showcase. It’s STALKER 2, the Ukrainian FPS that’s constantly struggling with problems. Firstly, it’s obviously the terrible war that shook the country and forced the developers to reconsider their plan. Attacks by suspected Russian hackers followed, stealing much of the game codes, assets and a whole host of other things that quickly ended up on the web.
But the GSC studio did not give up, not only stayed upright despite the events, but also continued to develop at any price. STALKER 2 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games for Xbox Series and PC, but unfortunately we have to wait to play and see it. In fact, one of the studio’s community managers has claimed that the game will not be present at the next Xbox Showcase. A hard blow for the fans, but GSC has good reasons, so it’s not that bad after all!
We don’t usually say whether we’ll be attending the events or not, but this time we’re making an exception. STALKER 2
will be without conferences in June and would rather make big announcements in the coming months.

There is currently no definitive date, the studio wants to proceed at its own pace. Given the circumstances, it’s hard to blame them.
