Indie developer Strangely Interactive has been working on the ambitious genre mix Angels Fall First for almost ten years now. The game has been in the game since 2015 Early Access auf Steam, but for the last two years there has been radio silence and the game was considered abandoned. But the developers are back with an update and are even more likely to announce that the testing phase will end soon.
Angels Fall First announces end of Early Access
The last update for the shooter appeared in June 2022. The game was considered dead even among loyal fans and had according to SteamDB rarely more than ten players.
But a few days ago the developers published Update 29 and the game got a new map, controller support, Steam achievements and numerous adjustments and improvements to gameplay and performance.
Additionally, the studio announced with the next update to leave Early Access. A date is currently not known.
Why the long break? Strangely Interactive remains vague and only explains that many of the team did not have enough time for the project in “these turbulent times.” But they confirm that they want to finish the game.

Angels Fall First: This is how the Battlefront alternative works
What kind of game is Angels Fall First?
Angels Fall First is something of an ambitious Battlefront. The Multiplayer battles are for 64 players designed, but it can also be played with bots.
Find the fights in spacebut also on the Surface of different planets instead of. Huge carrier ships commanded by players clash in space, while others engage in dogfights with bombers and fighters.
However, larger ships can also be boarded and so the whole game alternates between shooter battles with the weapon at the ready and ship-to-ship battles.
However, fighting takes place on the ground, both as infantry and with various vehicles. A Commander leads the battles more like in a strategy game and gives orders to the squads.
You see, Angels Fall First combines a whole lot of features and – as we discovered in 2015 – is even able to do something with it. The game has an 81 percent positive rating on Steam, but there is still a lack of players after the long break. Have you ever heard of Angels Fall First or even played it?
