Crytek releases a new update to Hunt: Showdown and integrates a completely new quest system into the action game. We tell you here what to expect.
Hunt: Showdown players can download the new update to version 1.8.1 and get a major innovation from Crytek. The patch integrates a completely new quest system, so you can now summon quests when entering the bayou. New quests include defeating specific enemies, killing grunts, finding boss hideouts, and more.
There are a total of five quest categories to choose from, ranging from easy to legendary. The more difficult the challenge you complete, the more stars you earn. A maximum of 30 stars can be earned each week and up to 25 Blood Bonds can be received as a reward. Additional rewards for completing quests include in-game items such as explosives and pistols. The available quests will rotate regularly and reset every Monday.
What is special here: Crytek lets the community actively participate in the development of the new feature by evaluating the feedback via social channels. For example, you can bring in your own quest ideas; all you have to do is use the hashtag #SuggestAQuest via social media. The development team then collects the best ideas and lets the community vote on the shortlist.
Hunt: Showdown is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One; the new quest system is presented in more detail in the following video.
