Hyper Light Breaker enters Steam Early Access this fall, with first gameplay trailer released

The new co-op rogue-lite adventure is set in the Hyper Light Drifter universe, but decades before Drifter. Along the way, you’ll play the role of a vandal, helping to establish settlements on a new frontier.

Combining hack-and-slash combat, ranged weapons, and gadgets, you’ll fight and explore a variety of procedurally generated open worlds. Not only to protect the settlement, but to uncover the dark truth about the Crown, the King of the Abyss, and the brutal landscape.

You can play the game solo or with other Breakers around the world, play online co-op with up to three other people, and face hordes of enemies and fierce bosses.

As you play, you’ll discover and unlock a plethora of weapons and items to strategically build powerful structures with each run, while learning about Overgrowth, its role, and what lies hidden on each death and subsequent attempt storyline.

As you help the settlement thrive on your journey, your achievements will introduce new characters and permanent upgrades to the center to expand the population. You can also visit townspeople between runs to learn their stories.

Hyper Light Breaker is scheduled to enter Steam Early Access this fall.
