Then someone says that EA doesn’t have the courage to create new brands. But Immortals of Aveum has one thing in common with an already well-known title – an irrepressible hunger for hard drive space.
The magic shooter Immortals of Aveum could be one of the more exciting games of the year when it is released on June 20th. The first trailers at least let it rip and give hope for a proper action festival. The new brand under the label EA Originals has at least one thing in common with the upcoming EA title Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, namely the need for a lot of storage space.
At least that’s what the system requirements for the PC version of Immortals of Aveum have now published. There, a measly 110GB is specified as storage space, with the recommendation to use an SSD. At least 30-40GB less than the Star Wars title, but still a lot that you have to free up. Whether the console versions are similarly hungry remains to be seen, but we can probably assume that the 100GB barrier will be broken there as well.
The game isn’t exactly frugal in terms of other requirements either. Even the minimum requirements for 1080p60 at low to medium settings require a GeForce RTX 2080 or an AMD Radeon RX 5700XT. The recommended hardware is a fairly up-to-date CPU (12th generation Intel Core i7 or Ryzen 5xxx), and an RTX 3080 Ti or a Radeon RX 6800XT must be used as a graphics card. That should at least be enough for 1440p60 on medium to high settings.
In short, if you want to play Immortals of Aveum, you should have a relatively up-to-date computer at home, or save up for a new gaming PC. In any case, the game seems to make full use of the graphics power of your cards: “On the PC, our texture pool and visual quality varies depending on the graphics card. So when a 4090 is running, it feels like playing the cinematics. And if upgraded As graphics cards or consoles come out with more memory, it will be much easier to recompile the game to take advantage of the new performance.”
