Accordingly, Sony will deliver the image sensor for the new iPhone generation. It should be a “state-of-the-art” sensor, i.e. a component from the top shelf. The new sensor should be particularly suitable for photography in the dark. Various manufacturers such as Samsung and Google have been working for years to enable lower-noise smartphone images in the dark.
However, it is not known whe ther the new Sony sensor will be used in all iPhone 15 variants or only in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. According to rumors, Apple will again differentiate the iPhone 15 series more from the Pro models. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro is said to have faster USB-C transfer speeds, a faster processor and more zoom options compared to the cheaper versions.
