Ancient, evil gods are quite a nuisance. They just don’t want to die and always cause trouble. As in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, a new action role-playing game with open world.
Because there the gates of the underworld have opened and the old god is sending rows of undead into the world of the living, from rickety skeletons to giant Elden Ring-branded bosses.
Motivated by personal vengeance, the protagonist of the single player adventure must lead humanity in the fight against the god and his subjects and lead the final battle for the gates of the underworld. But you can see it all for yourself in the first trailer:

Flintlock: Gameplay wie im Soulslike?
Similar to Greedfall, the flintlock character Nor Vanek uses not only his ax but also a musket to finally blow out the light of life of undead minions. The protagonist is accompanied by the mystical creature Enki, a mixture of dog and dragon.
Enki can paralyze opponents with her magical powers and is presumably controlled in a similar way to Loki in God of War: Most of the time, the AI barker trotts behind you, only to then target specific enemies in battle on your command. You use this for effective combo attacks.
It is not yet clear whether the level of difficulty will be as demanding as with a Soulslike. However, developers A44 Games have previously demonstrated a penchant for high difficulty games with Ashen. The press release only speaks of a “rewarding combat system”.

Speaking of Open World: Not only are millions of players currently sinking into the Elden Ring, the GameStar editors have also been gripped by Souls fever. Colleague Géraldine, for example, finds it incredibly exciting to explore the world in the From software game:

Elden Ring gives me a feeling I haven’t had in a long time
