However, in the few months on the Internet, the most famous Halo character is of course Craig-his face is a lightning rod, which can be said to delay the game for a year.
It’s easy to understand why Craig’s face can be a particularly painful place for the developers at 343 Industries-you wouldn’t be surprised if he quit the game altogether. but not! The Halo Infinite development team obviously had a sense of humor about the whole event-so they did make Craig famous.
Hidden on top of a particularly tall building in the open world of Zeta Halo is a vinyl record-a Greatest Hits album, decorated with its star-Craig, the highly sought after beast.
There is also a poster of Craig’s Zeta Halo tour nearby, where he will apparently perform for the crowd of exiles currently occupying the ring. The tour lists the dates and various in-game locations when he is ready to participate in the competition. There is also a skull here that can unlock a cool and unique feature, so this is clearly the place the developers want players to visit.
So Craig may be gone, and the brute in the game may have received some graphical upgrades after he was remembered-but he is certainly not forgotten. It is one of the best and most self-conscious Easter eggs we have seen in a while. Bravo, 343.
