What is Helldivers 2?
Helldivers 2 is essentially a classic, futuristic third-person co-op shooter for up to four players. As elite soldiers, your goal is to protect the galaxy from an invasion of gigantic insect-like creatures. To do this, you use a large arsenal of weapons, equipment and military devices. What makes the game so special?
A campaign for everyone: A special feature of the shooter is the galactic mega-campaign in which all Helldivers 2 players take part. Your progress in the individual operations or missions will be counted towards the progress of the entire community. This in turn impacts the future of the game and the experience for everyone.
How does the campaign work? You choose a planet and an operation in which you have to complete up to three main tasks. These range from eliminating a particularly strong opponent to recovering data. Progressing through these tasks is part of the Mega Campaign. In addition, there are some side tasks that only affect your personal progress. You can see gameplay of the game here:

The developers interact with the game
Interaction can help players but also increase the challenge. Examples so far have been a particularly powerful bomb that is available in the game for a short time and an ammunition shortage.
