Soldier Boy will therefore face tough competition in the fifth season, and not necessarily in terms of his skills, but in terms of his age!
The character Bombsight has now been officially cast and that’s not all: He will also become an integral part of the spin-off Vought Rising!
A new supe, a new danger?
Stranger Things star Mason Dye will third oldest Supe in the universe embody. It is not yet certain which side Bombsight will be on. But the past has shown clearly: the older generation of superheroes cannot be trusted!

And yes, we can actually now officially write “superheroes” again outside of Marvel and DC without remorse. The two comic giants simply forgot to renew the rights to the term.
Big joy, big plans
In his Instagram-Story the actor comments on the announcement that he is now part of the official The Boys gang with the words: »Ahhhh! I’m so excited to become a part of this universe.«
Bombsight is set to be introduced in Season 5 of The Boys and will then move on to the upcoming prequel spin-off Vought Rising. Dye will join the main cast including Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Aya Cash (Stormfront) (via Deadline).

Who is Bombsight?
The Supe is an original character in the Amazon series and does not actually appear in the comic series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, on which The Boys is based. That’s why we currently only know what was revealed in Bombsight Season 4:
- He is the third oldest known Supe
- Shortly after his birth, his parents made a deal with Vought and injected him with Compound V, giving him his superhuman abilities and powers
- In 1953, he starred in the Vought thriller The Curse of Fu Manchu, which marked Vought’s debut in the superhero genre
What is the spin-off Vought Rising about?
Complicated family stories are nothing new in The Boys. Stormfront dates our favorite villain Homelander in the second season of The Boys. But many years before that, she also had an affair with his father, Soldier Boy.
The upcoming prequel series follows the origins of entertainment giant Vought in the 1950s, the exploits of Soldier Boy and the evil schemes of Clara Vought, better known as Stormfront.
It is currently not known when the series will appear. But what we know is that the final season of The Boys will not appear until 2026.
It will still be a while before we see Homelander, Butcher, Soldier Boy and Co. again. But we can bridge this wonderfully with the spin-off Gen V, which will celebrate the release of the second season in 2025.
By the way: Another new addition to The Boys is actor Daveed Diggs (Mailton, The Little Mermaid). However, Amazon didn’t reveal any details here, which is why fans suspect that he won’t get much screen time – you can find out more about that in the box above.
