Biogrid combines ecology, evolution and terraforming.
What could be nicer than relaxing in nature on a sunny afternoon in nature? Right to pull down the blinds and instead play God in a nature simulation in the home four walls.
Biogrid is such a simulation and reminds a little of the glorious times of Black & White. There you were allowed to play God at the beginning of the millennium, which there is with all kindness and rigor about his people. Biogrid is not that far yet.
The game has been built by a single developer with the 3D engine Unity since 2017 and has had some impressive mechanics so far.
Biogrid can look really dramatic
On Twitter/X, the developer regularly posts clips from his nature simulation. Finally, for example, a video about water physics that tears a completely landscape into the abyss:

In the video you can see how a raging river looks for its way to the foot of the mountain and takes trees and animals with them. The water not only flows physically correct, but also Also eroded sand and earthso that the surroundings are constantly changing.
It is also exciting how the unknown animals can get to safety. These have gained a lot of grips in the past few months and are now able to remember their last water source. However, there is still a long way before the simulation.

I added corresponding status symbols to the animals and made them a little smarter with regard to water – now (for a while) they remember the last water source they came across and can try to return there. It's good enough for the moment, I think. It is time to deal with real food and food search.
The standing waters are also equipped with realistic physics. The simulation looks quite impressive when it comes to terraforms in lakes and ponds.

When biogrid will be finished is still in the stars and also whether and where the developer will provide his simulation. If you are interested in the progress of the game, you can keep you up to date on Twitter/X. There he documents many of his steps in development and shows the challenges he has to deal with.
