Intel finally announces the date for the showcase where the upcoming Battlemage GPUs will be shown.

Just one day after the release dates for Intel's upcoming Battlemage graphics cards were leaked, the manufacturer is now speaking out – and confirming at least parts of the preliminary information.

As the official “Intel Gaming” channel on X/Twitter explains, they have “some big graphics news” to share. The approximately 20-second clip shows a darkened preview of a graphics card that will come onto the market “soon”.

The specific information will be presented at an Intel showcase taking place on December 3rd.

As mentioned at the beginning, Intel confirms the recent leak regarding the relevant dates for the Battlemage generation.

  • Here too, December 3rd was mentioned as the launch date for the Intel Arc B570 and Arc B580.
  • In addition, the start of sales for the two graphics cards was also revealed: The Intel reference card – also known as the “Limited Edition” – is scheduled to go on sale on December 12th.
  • A day later, the board partners are allowed to take part with their custom models. Asrock, Gunnir and Biostar are considered likely here, but the mood among the partners is not said to be particularly optimistic.

What the Arc B570 data sheet should look like has hardly appeared in the previous leaks outside of the BMG-G21 chip with 18 Xe2 cores. At least the amount of Xe2 cores suggests 136 compute units, otherwise the rumor mill is completely silent about the B570 variant.

In the last few days in particular, more and more details about the Arc B580 have leaked, which we will summarize below:

  • The BMG-G21 will also be used in the Arc B580, but here with 20 Xe2 cores, which in turn lead to 160 compute units. The maximum clock speed should be 2.85 GHz.
  • On the memory side, 12 GB of GDDR6 memory is confirmed. The 192-bit interface and the speed of 19 Gbps result in a bandwidth of 456 GB/s.
  • The first benchmarks for the Arc B580 indicate synthetic performance above the RTX 4060 Ti.
  • The price of the Arc B580 has already been revealed, at least by US retailers: Intel is said to be charging $250 for the Battlemage GPU. To what extent the price will be adopted in Europey is still unclear.

Given the rumored performance and technical data, what price would the Arc B580 have to have in your opinion in order to create real competition? Please leave us your assessment in the comments!
