Electronic Arts is teaming up with Marvel to launch a new single player adventure themed around the superhero Iron Man. We’ll tell you what’s known so far!
Electronic Arts has entered into a new collaboration with Marvel Entertainment for a new video game themed around the superhero Iron Man. Accordingly, the in-house EA studio Motive will launch a new video game with just that protagonist.
The new title is said to be a brand new single player adventure. The game is played from the third-person perspective, with action-adventure fare awaiting you in a playful way. The Montreal-based development studio has now officially announced the title, but says it is still in an early development phase. So it will be some time before the new Iron Man actually appears.
“We’re excited to be working with the talented team at Motive Studio to bring to life their own vision of one of Marvel’s most important, powerful and beloved characters,” said Bill Rosemann, vice president and creative director at Marvel Games. Motive Executive Producer Olivier Proulx said it was “an honor and a privilege” to make a video game based on “one of the most iconic superheroes out there.”
The title is still in the pre-production phase, so the work is only just beginning. Accordingly, Motive also actively hires new employees for the project via its in-house website.
The development studio was previously responsible for Star Wars: Squadrons, among other things, and will initially release the remake of Dead Space on January 27, 2023.
