Yes, Capcom’s software sold three million copies in just two days, but on Metacritic, many players are expressing disappointment with the remake. At the moment The user rating of the PlayStation 5 version is 7.1/10 (1,743 ratings), while the Xbox Series version is 5/10 (818 ratings) and the PC version is 5.5/10 (941 ratings).
Normally, with review bombing, the cause is easy to identify (pay-to-win mechanics, mod ban, political statement by a studio), but that’s not the case with Resident Evil 4. The Capcom title’s only controversy stems from Ashley’s panties. Suffice it to say that it is relatively harmless.
