Gaming News “It takes a few seconds”: Assassin’s Creed Infinity, the future platform for Ubisoft’s Essential series, promises to be super practical!
After a somewhat difficult time, Ubisoft is determined to get back on track and is relying particularly (and not only a little) on Assassin’s Creed, whose projects are apparently numerous. In the stack is Assassin’s Creed Infinity, revealed today thanks to a well-known medium.
To infinity and beyond
It’s been a while since we’ve had Assassin’s Creed Infinity. a rather mysterious project that Ubisoft has not yet concretely revealed. The first time we heard about it was thanks to Jason Schreier via Bloomberg three years ago, and the French company has since made it official – without much more information.
However, thanks to Insider Gaming (a site owned by Tom Henderson specializing in scoops), today we have new information: the media claims to have received exclusive demonstration images that they are not allowed to publish, but which he himself is allowed to describe: So Infinity would be a kind of application that brings together the different Assassin’s Creed games, especially the next ones whose codenames are Red, Hexe and Invictus.
Assassin’s Creed Infinity will be the focal point of the franchise from which games such as Red, Hexe and Invictus will be released. Demo footage provided to Insider Gaming shows the player switching from Infinity to Assassin’s Creed Red in just a few seconds, picking up where they left off instead of having to restart the game.
The present returns
If you know anything about Assassin’s Creed, then you know that the “main story” takes place in a modern setting where the player explores the protagonist’s genetic memory. This would bring Assassin’s Creed Infinity’s context into the present: not only could it launch the various games in the saga, but it could also access new Assassin’s Creed content.
“The Exchange” will be the item shop and will offer players the opportunity to purchase daily and weekly in-game cosmetic items for Red’s two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke.
Infinity would act as a shop for fans of the saga and also offer a “sync” feature that would allow access to “projects” for every hero and heroine in the series. A “project” would actually be a mini-battle pass supported by a scripted storyline involving cosmetic items. Many projects would be added gradually, thereby of Infinity a real experience with long-term service while also providing DLC or new versions of the games.
After all, Insider Gaming says so This very special hub would therefore be launched at the same time as Assassin’s Creed Red (the opus that will commemorately take place in Japan), which will probably be released this year.
