GTA 5 It may have been published almost a decade ago now, but rock star Finally added the option to sprint just by holding down a button.
Most games usually offer one of two ways for you to sprint through a game: you can hold down a specific button, or press it once and it will do it for you automatically. Some games even let you choose one of them! But, for some reason, GTA 5 has decided to go with a secret third option, which is always a bit annoying at best and totally detrimental to accessibility at worst: you press the button. Thankfully, though, after literally a decade (it’s crazy for a game to still be receiving updates so long after release), an update is coming that finally lets you just hold the button .

As spotted by TheGamer, the latest Rockstar Games Newswire post shares some upcoming updates for GTA Online, generally including more missions, more cars, and more. It’s worth noting, though, that the post also shared that “another sprint control option (holding sprint) will be added to the settings menu.” Hybrids are always a bit of a silly thing, so this is a welcome change – though It would be nice if they could add the ability to just press a button so that there is a wide range of options.
Of course, while GTA 5 continues to get updates, it’s GTA 6 that’s on everyone’s mind. There was a big leak last year that showed off a whole bunch of screenshots and footage, though that’s all we’ve actually seen so it hasn’t been officially revealed yet. It’s clearly only a matter of time, though, as it’s sure to be one of the biggest games of the year whenever it lands.
