These last days we have been able to enjoy the Star Wars Celebrationa convention focused on the Star Wars universe in which we have been able to see surprise announcements and updates on the most anticipated projects by fans of the franchise created by George Lucas.
However, there is something that has hardly been talked about and that many expected this weekend: the rian johnson trilogy
Still, the latest update on this trilogy comes from the president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedyduring an interview with Variety in which he makes it clear that these three films are still a real possibility for the franchise.
“Rian and I talk all the time. He’s incredibly busy, so we’re not actively involved in anything at the moment because he’s doing another one of the Glass Onion movies and God knows what else. But he really wants to step back into space. It’s a big time commitment, so all this depends on himself”.
Although Johnson’s desire is to return to Lucasfilm to make this highly anticipated trilogy once and for all, it seems that other projects have been more active than ever and hasn’t had time
The relationship between Johnson and Star Wars is somewhat bittersweetsince his first and only film within this universe (the last jedi) has been the most divisive of the entire new trilogy. Luckily, the wait will be quite entertaining seeing all the projects that Lucasfilm has in the short and long term.
