According to the Hollywood Reporter, there should be one »initiate a new era«, which might mean that characters like Owen (Chris Pratt), Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Ian Malcom (Jeff Goldblum) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) aren’t on board this time. However, that is not yet certain.
Screenwriter returns after 27 years: The script is written by a veteran of the series. David Koepp previously worked on Jurassic Park (1993) and Jurassic Park: The Lost World (1997). He also wrote screenplays for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fortune.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a director is not yet on board, but the project is already well advanced
and Universal hope internally a cinema release in 2025. Keep in mind that this is not an official announcement, even though the magazine is usually well informed about the film industry.
