Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been delayed until February 11, 2025. This information was initially revealed via an Embracer Group financial report, but was later directly mentioned by Warhorse Studios in a video posted on social media.
The original release date was 2024, but it was pushed back to the week of Valentine’s Day, which is a great option for medieval lovers. Interestingly, this date is very close to when the original game was released: February 13, 2018. The financial report includes a statement from Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors, which states: “Our team is committed to making and delivering even better games. Our highly anticipated game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, is now confirmed for a global release on February 11, 2025, which we believe will allow for the final touches and a better release window. We very much look forward to sharing more details about this and other games at Gamescom next week.”

As for the video released by Warhorse Studios, the message it conveys is slightly different. In the video, Toby from Warhorse Studios said that the development team was aiming for a 2024 release, but fell short. “We almost made it. Almost. But almost wasn’t good enough, so unfortunately we pushed it to 2025. But at least we now have a truly accurate release date of February 11, 2025.”
Why is this message different? Because financial reports and fan-facing videos are aimed at different groups. Financial reports are aimed at investors, so bitter pills like reasonable delays must be sweetened with honey, while Kingdom Come: Redemption fans may be more understanding of the development team’s failure to meet deadlines, as long as transparency is ensured.
Regardless, the video also hints at more content to be revealed in the coming weeks, including some new content at Gamescom, so fans won’t have to wait long to see more.
