It’s been just over a year since we first saw the peculiar Kingmakers—a real-time strategy and shooter hybrid set in medieval Englandbut with a unique twist: you play as a modern-day soldier who travels 500 years into the past to protect his timeline.
Armed with modern weapons and vehiclesyou’ll face off against medieval knights, archers, and cavalry in explosive time-bending warfare.
New Trailer Reveals More Gameplay
Developer Redemption Road and publisher tinybuild have released a new trailer confirming the launch date, along with new gameplay details.
The trailer showcases intense battles where modern soldiers take on medieval armies. The game will support 4-player co-opletting teams work together to lead armies, build fortifications, and coordinate large-scale assaults.
Modern Arsenal Meets the Middle Ages
Although set in medieval England, Kingmakers gives players access to a wild array of modern weapons and vehicles:
- Weapons: Shotguns, pistols, rocket launchers, sniper rifles
- Vehicles: Cars, motorcycles, and massive tanks that completely overpower anything from the Middle Ages
All of this is enhanced by the game’s destruction simulation systemwhich is as over-the-top and visually striking as the game’s time-traveling premise.
