In May EA wants to launch the dodgeball action Knockout City together with Velan Studios. The cross-play feature should now be extensively tested in advance.
Publisher and developer have now jointly announced a new beta for Knockout City, which should take place soon. Interested players can watch the Dodgeball-inspired multiplayer action game from April 2-4 on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC and – thanks to backward compatibility – also on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
This new beta test phase supports cross-play and offers cross-platform progress – one of the core features of the multiplayer title. So you can play together with friends who are on other consoles.
Access to this new beta will be open, so anyone interested can join in spontaneously. Players get access to everything that was already available in the first beta, including moon, cage and bomb balls, the Shake Yard, High Roof Heights and Knockout Carousel maps and the team knockout playlist with new content.
This weekend the sniper ball, street battle map, 1-on-1 duel and diamond theft playlists, as well as numerous options for customizing the style will be introduced. With a total of four cards, five different game balls, three playlists and countless customization options, the second beta should keep you busy all weekend. Private games are also available to create your own games.

- 1-on-1 duel:
- Start time: April 2nd at 3:00 p.m.

- Diamond theft:
- Start time: April 3rd at 8:00 p.m.
- End time: April 5th at 3:00 a.m.
A pre-load of the cross-play beta on the preferred platform is already possible, so that you can jump into battle on April 2nd at 3:00 p.m. The servers will be open until Monday, April 5th at 3:00 AM. Additionally, for participating in this cross-play beta, players will receive the beta blue booster paraglider to soar in style and the beta hooligan player icon when they return for the game’s launch on May 21st.
