The trial phase in Knockout City is actually over, but EA and developer Velan are still giving Dodgeball fans free access. But only up to street level 25.
EA just ended its 10-day promotion, in which players could catch a free glimpse into the Dodgeball multiplayer game Knockout City. Now EA announced that it will continue for free, but only until you have reached street level 25 with your Dodgeballer.
Actually, the full version of Knockout City is worth 20 dollars and is part of EA Play and the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and therefore subject to a fee. If you haven’t tried it yet and want to save your money, you can also simply start with a fresh account free of charge. As long as you stay below street level 25, Knockout City won’t cost you a penny. If you do want to invest, you can transfer all of your progress to the full version. Meanwhile, free-to-play players should not have any restrictions.
The free trial is a smart move by EA, especially when you consider that Knockout City is purely a multiplayer game. These titles in particular often have difficulties in maintaining an active player base in the long term. Countering this with free content should therefore be worthwhile for EA and developer Velan.
