If you don’t see sneaky League of Legends With the news that leaked yesterday, you might be surprised to hear that Jungle characters will be getting some big changes in the meantime 2023 Preseason. This includes aids for jungle paths, jungle camp leashes, and jungle pets, which seem to be the answer to the character’s stale items.
According to the official release of this update, the jungler is a role that is actively avoided by many players. While the goal is clearly not to reduce the difficulty of the character, some difficult areas are being reworked to remove this barrier to entry and allow for better expression of skills in other areas.
Let’s start with pets – by and large the creepiest addition to the character. While the folks at Riot Games haven’t given up on the details of how these work exactly, we know they’re an answer to the bland blue Punishment/Red Punishment project. This feature was added to make killing jungle camps more exciting – rather than making it a tedious minion farming practice.
As far as jungle trails go, this is a major area where obstacles of difficulty or setbacks are being removed. According to the jungle changes, the team is “exploring changes like jungle pathing aids — think something like a recommended item, but how it’s done on your first clear, it’s a stepping stone to mastering your character.”
Camp restraints are also changing, especially the scope and reset rules. This should mean there will be fewer instances of the red buff running away from you halfway through and fully healed. Summarizing all of the above, the ultimate goal is to give junglers more tools to communicate ganks or push goals (rather than spam), which now looks like an exciting one for League of Legends players – or maybe Nervous time. Just like a preseason tradition.
