it looks like an original version Duke Nukem forever Leaked online in 2001, its final version took a very long time to develop.
everyone likes to joke Kingdom Hearts 3 It took a long time to come out, but more people need to remember the story of Duke Nukem Forever, a game that took a total of 14 years to develop. It was first announced in 1997, but it didn’t really come out until 2011, and it was so thoroughly criticized that no one was surprised. But now, as shared by fan site Duke4, a leak has emerged on 4chan that contains screenshots and footage of a playable version of the 2001 game.
According to the leak, almost every chapter exists in some form, with one chunk actually being playable, while the other is just blocked without enemies. Obviously, all the E3 stuff was there at the time. Of all the existing weapons, except the chainsaw and freezer, they all work.
User x0r, who shared the leak, said they plan to release the editor and full source code, which means it should be partially playable. It’s important to note that there is no full game, as this version of it was never actually finished. According to x0r, they expect to have everything fully available in June.
Game development is often an incredibly secretive process, and as outsiders, we rarely see early versions of games because companies rarely want to show them off. Interestingly, EA is doing something different dead end A remake (slated for release early next year) as it actually shows off an early look at the game.
Hopefully, the Duke Nukem Forever leak will persist, as it’s also important to save work.
