Tekken’s most prominent developer, Katsuhiro Harada, has responded to criticism from fans over how the series handles black characters, with fans eager to see Eddie Gordo appear in Tekken 8.
Whether players will be able to play as Eddy Gordo – a Brazilian martial artist who debuted in 1997’s Tekken 3 – has been the focus of many, for better or worse. Run until released. Now, Harada has stepped in to respond to a fan’s claim that Gordo has yet to be officially unveiled due to racism.

“The only reason Eddie Gordo hasn’t been revealed yet is because the creators of Iron Fist are racist and don’t care about black characters or people with dark skin,” the Twitter user argued in the post.
Harada began his response by saying: “If you think you can assert anything this way and it will go away, you are wrong. [Leroy] Crows will kick your ass. ” He then defended: “Think about it, there are no Japanese characters in the American TV series and movies I like, but I have never felt discriminated against because of this. What do you think is the most important difference between you and me? “
The developer finally added: “You have no logic at all. You are simply a delusional person who does not realize that even emotional arguments are meaningless.”

If the information leaked in December for the German and Hungarian versions of the PlayStation Store proves to be accurate, it’s likely that people will get Gordo restored in the game’s Season 1 DLC, along with Roger, the Xiao Men, and the Armor King. This year, either the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of the game includes a playable character pass.
If you’re happy with any of these, you’ll also get plenty of other goodies, which are detailed in this handy blog post. I’m sure you’ll agree that it would be a crime against nature to miss the opportunity to get a gold set for every playable launch character.
While you wait for January 26th to arrive, be sure to check out the features and break down why Tekken 8 will deliver enough launch content to surprise you, and why you might end up spending more on Training Mode than you originally expected more time.
