Lords of The Fallen 2 will be talked about again and only forever. The CI Games studio has come to bring us excellent news that will delight many fans.
After a somewhat failed first attempt, Lords of the Fallen came back from the dead in 2023 and succeeded. The game is good, beautiful and well made. One of the rare Soul-likes that’s strong enough to stand up to the genre’s big names like Elden Ring, even though the two games are different.
Building on this success, the studio announced the development of a sequel last June. So there will actually be one Lords of the Fallen 2and a few days ago another piece of good news came.
A big release window for Lords of The Fallen 2 and lots of details
In its latest financial report, CI Games reveals new details about this highly anticipated sequel. LOTF 2 would therefore be well developed under Unreal Engine 5 and should blow us away again. Most importantly, we finally have a release date, at least a time window the game is expected for 2026. The studio also plans to reveal the game in 2025. We also learn that it will be so an Epic Games Store exclusively for PC. Epic would obviously have paid one “Major investment” to get your hands on the game’s exclusivity.
CI Games finally states that Lords of the Fallen 2 will benefit from one “Increased accessibility” to find new players. The jagged difficulty curve was one of the things players pointed out. The studio is obviously aware of this and is therefore planning adjustments. It is also said that LOTF 2 will be entitled to an abundance of “New gameplay features”. In this regard, the first game was already a good student, offering a good variety of combat approaches but, above all, excellent ideas for exploration. Using the lantern to dynamically move between worlds, for example, greatly enriched the experience. Online collaboration would also be planned with shared progress. In other words, LOTF 2 is on track to surpass the first installment of the franchise, and that’s a good thing.
Lords of The Fallen is currently available for PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
