After the release in October 2023, the development studio HexWorks continuously delivered updates for the Souls-like Lords of the Fallen. While initially it was primarily a matter of bug fixes and performance improvements, new content was constantly added over time. With the patch to version 1.5, support is now coming to an end, but with a bang.
The update to version 1.5 has the dramatic name “Master of Fate”, but it hits the nail on the head pretty well. Because with the “final milestone for the post-launch roadmap,” as HexWorks calls the patch itself, you can do a lot of work on Lords of the Fallen yourself.

Thanks to various modifiers, you can completely adapt your gaming experience to your preferences. There are seven controls with which you can make Lords of the Fallen significantly easier or more difficult. For example, you let enemy spawns and loot drops be determined by chance and there is even a permadeath mode.
Saul Gascon, Executive Producer and Head of Studio, finds warm words at the end of the roadmap. “In response to player support, we expanded the live support period for Lords of the Fallen with an ambitious post-launch roadmap. This consisted of four major content updates and numerous smaller releases, adding tons of new content and important ones Performance and stability improvements included. Reaching version 1.5 with the Master of Fate update and its truly groundbreaking modifier system marks the completion of this roadmap and shows Lords of the Fallen at its best.”
