Lost Ark recently made the leap to the western market and has been extremely popular ever since. Unfortunately, this also brings with it countless cheaters, which the developers have decided to fight.
At the start of the weekend, the development team has now confirmed that they have taken a big hit against cheaters and bots. These had increasingly romped around in the action RPG after it had started extremely successfully in the west. Concrete consequence: More than one million accounts violating the guidelines have now been banned and can no longer participate in the game.
It goes on to say that these accounts will be permanently banned from the game. Of course, this is by no means the end of the fight against cheaters and bots. In this respect, it is further emphasized that further bans are to follow in the coming weeks and months.
“Ensuring a fair and fun gaming experience for our players is one of the highest priorities for the team,” says the development team responsible for Lost Ark on the official website. Although one is therefore convinced of the bans initiated, one also admits that one or the other account could accidentally be affected that actually did not use bots. Individual players can therefore contact the developers and request reactivation of their account; in this case, a further case-by-case assessment is carried out.
For the future, ban processes are to be further optimized in order to rule out such errors.
