Lost Ark receives its March content update today, is the first major content patch since the release of Western Games earlier this year. The upcoming major update is New Abyssal Raid, New Story Chapter, PvP Season For competitive players to participate.
There are also some smaller additions that will appeal to those looking for an alternative game progression separate from the main path. New islands have been added to Arkesia’s ocean, along with a new Login Pass and Grand Prix mode, where players can compete against each other for various prizes.
The new story chapter, which takes players out to discover the secrets of a guy called Kadan, requires you to first complete a series of prerequisite quests. This includes:
- “Let there be light” quest on Yorn
- “The Beginning of Our Story” quest on Whispering Isle
- The “End of the Path” quest on Bamboo Island
The new raid content, Abyssal Raid, is a new and challenging form of PvE content where players will battle Guardian Argos through three progressively difficult combat stages. With each stage having its own weekly loot table and requiring 1370 item levels to fight, facing Argos is something end gamers will want to be consistent over the next few months.
If PvE isn’t your thing, the competitive PvP season one is sure to grab your attention. Line up alone and team up with like-minded players, those looking to reap the rewards of PvP against each other in Proving Grounds Team Deathmatch mode. By winning or losing, you’ll get your average score for the season, with exclusive rewards when you exceed certain milestones.
The final addition is for your speed freaks. The Arkesia Grand Prix is a limited-time event where two teams of seven players compete around a fixed track. Competitors will obviously have to move toward the goal and eat the cake in order to eliminate any advantage gained from career skills. You can find a new NPC in any major city and they’ll be giving access for about a month, so be sure to drop by and give it a try.
