In a few days there will be the first real gameplay from the new mafia: The Old Country.
As part of the Opening Night Live on Gamescom 2024, Mafia: The Old Country was officially announced a new part of the renowned open-world action series. The game acts as a kind of prequel and explores the creation of organized crime in the early 20th century.
Since the announcement, there have been relatively few official information or new game impressions to see, but that should now change promptly. Via social media, 2K and Hangar 13 announced that there will be real gameplay from the GTA competitor for the first time as part of the approaching Pax East.
The silence is nearly over.

“The calm is almost over,” the makers write about the official channel at X (formerly Twitter). On May 8th, the next mafia chapter with the first gameplay trailer will be officially heralded. The broadcast will take place at 5:00 p.m. German time.
In addition, there are other game information as part of a developer panel that is also transmitted live via YouTube and Twitch. This was scheduled for 8:00 p.m. German time on the same day.
It is then also possible that the release date of the game is officially announced. A leak via Steam had only suggested a release in August 2025 two weeks ago. Will this info be confirmed? Of course we keep you up to date!
