The mobile spin-off Mario Kart Tour was initially unable to meet the high expectations, also because it lacked a feature that set Mario Kart apart more than anything else: a fun multiplayer. This will finally be delivered!
Several months ago, Nintendo had promised to deliver the much-awaited multiplayer mode in Mario Kart Tour to mobile devices 8211; and now this promise has finally been fulfilled. How now via Twitter
The multiplayer function of the mobile spin-off has recently been extensively tested by Gold Pass subscribers as part of a beta test. In a few days, the feature will now be available to all interested gamers on smartphones.
Multiplayer for #MarioKartTour comes out on Mar. 8, 8 PM PT! You can compete against seven other players, whether they're in-game friends, nearby, or around the world. Are you ready to play? pic.twitter.com/IRwBONq560

In general, the game is supposed to offer flexible options in the multiplayer part, according to Nintendo. However, there will also be special premium races in the future that can only be contested by Gold Pass holders.
There are three options at the start of the feature:
- Compete against friends or other people nearby: choose your own rules and ride with friends or others nearby.
- Standard Race: Race against players from all over the world.
- Golden races: Exclusively for MKT Gold Pass subscribers. There is even more speed with the 200 cc mode and special challenges with daring driving maneuvers.
The Gold Pass currently costs 5.49 euros a month.
