After the layoffs in the past few days, Marvel Rivals is now writing more positive headlines, namely when it comes to playing players. These have now reached another milestone.
The Hero-Shooter Marvel Rivals from Netease has reached a new milestone. The company has now confirmed that the number of players has cracked the brand of a whopping 40 million players since the release in December last year.
Netease recently published the business figures for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year 2024 and communicated this new milestone in the course of this. Previously, Marvel Rivals had broken the 10 million players brand within the first 72 hours, 20 million within the first two weeks and now 40 million within three months after the release.
The Season 1 update in January 2025 caused a stronger increase. As a result, Marvel Rivals became one of the absolute top sellers on Steam and one of the most played titles worldwide.
Finally, the big update 1.5 was announced for the game, which will start on February 21 and also brings new playable heroes with The Thing and Human Torch. In addition, there is a new map and the exchange of Chrono tokens.
