The figure Ironheart has already been introduced in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and since then Marvel fans have been looking forward to her return. Now Disney+ has finally revealed the start date of the new series. The announcement is accompanied by an epic trailer that shows for the first time action -packed scenes of the young superhero and gives an explosive foretaste of the new chapter in the MCU.
The six -part series, which starts exclusively on Disney+ on June 25th, is directly linked to Riri's first appearance in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” (2022) and is now continuing its story in full length.
What does the trailer show?
Already in the first scene of the trailer we see a flashback to the events of Wakanda, a clear indication of the narrative connection to the “Black Panther” universe.
The trailer begins with a “test” that Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) has to complete. In rapid sequences, we experience your return to Chicago, your construction of a new Iron-Man-like suit and initial confrontations with your surroundings, both technological and supernatural in nature.
Riri's main opponent, Parker Robbins alias the Hood (played by Anthony Ramos), is also introduced prominently. Robbins unleash mystical forces in dark scenes, including an infernal coat, flame magic and dark illusions. This makes it clear that this series goes far beyond what you can expect from an “Iron Man” heritage.
In addition to the action setpieces and high-tech suit moments, we also get emotional moments: a conversation with Riri's girlfriend Natalie (Lyric Ross), the pressure to prove herself in a world characterized by superheroes, and a first look at Riri's moral compass between Wunderkind and fighter for justice.
Darker than expected, with a strong identity note
“Ironheart” does not focus on MCU-typical Klamauk, but tells a coming-of-age story with a clear sociopolitan and emotional dimension. The visual language is reminiscent of “Ms. Marvel” in places, but is staged earthy and darker. The effects are of high quality, the staging looks focused. With this series, Marvel seems to be looking for a stylistic counterweight to previous formats such as “She-Hulk”.

Who is always annoyed by Deadpool, but according to Wade one of his best friends?
With the first trailer, Marvel delivers exactly what fans had hoped for: an exciting view of a new heroine, a fresh aesthetic handwriting and a conflict that goes beyond simple good-evil pattern. “Ironheart” should prove to be one of the more complex series in the MCU canon. Worn by a young leading actress who combines technology, heart and attitude.
