Firaxis announced their next game, Marvel’s midnight sun, Will be postponed to the second half of 2022. Originally set for the spring, developers now need more time to best realize their vision for the game.
In the joint statement issued to Twitter, Creative director Jake Solomon and senior franchise producer Garth DeAngelis expressed their excitement and disappointment at starting to work on this property, because the delay will disappoint some people. “We know that many fans were initially looking forward to playing this game next spring. This decision was not taken lightly. We decided to promote our release because we need more time to make this game the best game.”

Developers will use the extra time to “add more stories, animations and overall polish.” Obviously, the people at Firaxis are very happy to be part of the game, and frankly, it is a good thing that they take the time to make sure the game is as complete as possible. “Marvel’s Midnight Sun is a real dream project for the team, and we cannot express the honor of creating new things in the Marvel universe,” the statement read.
Ultimately, this enthusiasm is reflected in the statement about the development of the game: “We believe in our creative vision for Marvel’s midnight sun and hope to provide unforgettable adventures on the supernatural side of Marvel.”
Marvel’s Midnight Suns has the premise of an interesting card-based tactical game and will feature fan favorite characters such as Wolverine and Sabretooth.
The game is scheduled to land on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S later next year.
