According to leaks, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is in the pipeline for Insomniac Games. The studio could surprise fans with a format seen in video games, but one that will be divisive.
The hacking of Insomniac Games’ servers has taken on a whole new dimension since this morning. After the author expressed his willingness to publish the information obtained on the Internet, he put his words into action. So he revealed important details about Marvel’s Wolverine with supporting concept art. For example, the game’s cast – including the characters and the actors who play them – has been leaked. In this massive leak we also learned about the studio’s plans for the next few years and among them we find a certain Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could spring a surprise when it rele ases
Leaks about four PS5/PS6 exclusive titles from Insomniac Games have just (re)confirmed the existence of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. According to the information, the continuation of the adventures of Peter Parker and Miles Morales is planned for the 2028 financial year. But another picture that is doing the rounds on the Internet contains even more interesting information. According to this cliché, the studio could be emulating Marvel and especially its latest Avengers films in some ways.
In what way? Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could easily be split into two parts, with separate releases, suggesting the content could be even bigger or the ambitions could be much bigger. Part 1 would be released at the end of 2027, while Part 2 would be released a year later, at the end of 2028. Apparently a bundle is planned for 2029 to bring the two games together. If such a format, which is quite unexpected for a video game, is confirmed, we may have to expect a big cliffhanger. The death of a character? It is a theory that is already emerging and will not only make people happy.
The second revelation that raises questions is the mention of “MP” for “multiplayer.” According to what is written, a multiplayer could be released alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Could this be Insomniac Games’ famous multiplayer project? It’s too early to draw conclusions, especially since we don’t know if it still exists, but perhaps it’s because of the many service games in development at PlayStation. PS5 or PS6 are not clearly mentioned, but PC and PS+ are listed in terms of overall sales projections. This means that sooner or later MS3 will no longer be 100% exclusive to the PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 6. But in itself this is not really a surprise and is in line with the new strategy that Sony has been pursuing for several months.
Venom, Ratchet and Clank and X-Men games on PS5/PS6?
Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 isn’t the only PlayStation exclusive from Insomniac Games. The new leaks actually suggest that a Marvel’s Venom game is in the pipeline. This would be the first title expected to be released in fiscal year 2028. A new episode of Ratchet and Clank would follow in fiscal year 2029. Sometime in fiscal 2030, we’ll likely find the adamantium-clawed superhero Wolverine, as part of an X-Men game. Finally, we also saw references to Spider-Verse in a previous leak. A future software? Maybe, unless it’s the multiplayer title mentioned above.
