Insomniac Games also attended last night’s State of Play and announced Spider-Man Remastered. But PC gamers have two reasons to be happy.
As part of last night’s State of Play, Insomniac Games announced that it would be bringing the Spider-Man series to PC; Sony continues to intensify its efforts in this area.
Originally released for PS4, Marvel’s Spider-Man comes as a new remastered version for the home calculator, but Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is also planned for the PC. The games developed by Insomniac Games have sold more than 33 million copies on PlayStation globally.
There is already a release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, because the PC version should be available from August 12, 2022 – then also including the DLC package “The City That Never Sleeps”. It takes a little longer for Miles Morales: Here the makers are targeting autumn 2022 for the PC.
The technical optimizations are to be communicated and presented in detail at a later date, but PC-specific features such as render settings and ray tracing are already planned. However, the corresponding PC optimizations will not be carried out by Insomniac itself, but by Nixxes Software.
With Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Sony is bringing another title to the PC that was previously reserved for the Playstation.
