The legendary Xbox game that was released in 2002 looks like it could have a kind of remake for Xbox Series X. Many fans of the console have wondered which and how many exclusive games the new console will receive from Microsoft when it is released, and even though now not many have been revealed, MechAssault could be one of the candidates to please gamers as a new improved installment.
In a recent interview with Comicbook, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has spoken about an old video game he would love to revive, it is one of the Mech titles, quite possibly MechAssault, which was considered one of the best Xbox shooters during the time of its launch. Similarly, Spencer says there may be some inconvenience with game rights,
Mech. That is easy. Mech, from a rights standpoint, is a bit messy since other people are working on games. But when I think of MechAssault and the IP Jordan Weisman created with FASA like Crimson Skies, Shadowrun, Mech and more, it only has really deep and rich stories and characters to play. I think it would be great, at some point, if we could do something with Mech. "
It seems that Spencer really liked the Mech video game series, so although hasn't confirmed the title for Xbox Series XThere's still hope that he'll return as a remaster or even a remake. At the moment, we should not completely trust ourselves, since it was only a simple answer in an interview, so we have to wait to see if this will become one of the exclusive features of the new generation of the Microsoft console.
