In the new week, the Dead-by-Daylight makers from Behavior Interactive are launching their new game Meet Your Maker – and they also have long-term plans for the title beyond the release. For the moment, the timetable for the first three months after publication h as already been announced.
Anyone who buys Meet Your Maker on Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S from April 4th can expect that the title will be supplied with new content for a longer period of time – just like that, as Behavior Interactive already practices in the horror game Dead by Daylight. Shortly before the release, it was already confirmed what you can look forward to in the three months that follow.
Overall, Ash Pannell, the game’s creative director, said: “While Meet Your Maker launches with a full arsenal of traps, guards, weapons, Sentinels and more, we have a solid plan in place for the post-launch period , which should constantly expand the toolbox of the players. Our goal is to always make Meet Your Maker fresh, varied and unexpected in terms of content.”
So how does it start? Just a few weeks after the release, the free “Hellscape” decoration package will be available, bringing a new aesthetic to the game. Combining organic matter and industrial materials with eerie effects, vibrant animations and dim lighting, it aims to give you the feeling of being inside a living organism.
The deco pack includes:
- Two blocks (each available in three shapes)
- Two props
- An animated prop
- Eight decals
Furthermore, new mods and extensions for existing traps and guards are planned over the course of the first few months, which will be unlockable with game time. Any new modification or extension will be added directly. Builders will have new ways to manipulate their traps and guards, giving them even more control over their builds and combos to outwit raiders.
The first major content update will then be Sector 1: Dreadshore, scheduled for late June 2023. This will go beyond the well-known Red Sands and introduce a new environment. A new sector-themed set of building blocks awaits you there to create a different style of outpost.
Sector 1: Dreadshore contains:
- A new environment (available immediately for free)
- A new decoration pack (available immediately for free)
- Four new gameplay elements (unlockable through game time or available for purchase on PlayStation, Xbox or Steam)
- Guardian + Perks
- weapon + upgrades
- trap + mods
- Guardian + Reinforcements
- A new cosmetics collection (purchasable on PlayStation, Xbox or Steam)
Perks, upgrades, mods, and buffs can only be unlocked through gameplay if the associated gameplay element is unlocked first.
