The rumors about a new edition of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater have been around for a long time. There was also talk of a PlayStation-exclusive deal in this context, but according to an insider, the comeback could also end up on other platforms.
Later this week, namely on May 24, 2023 at 10:00 p.m., Sony will broadcast its big PlayStation Showcase and present upcoming highlights in more detail. Rumor has it that the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will also be part of the line-up – but contrary to Sony’s appearance and other previous speculations, the title could not be PS5-exclusive.
At least that’s what the usually well-informed industry experts are reporting Insider Gaming. Accordingly, what is currently probably the worst-kept secret will be revealed on Thursday with a teaser clip; there is probably no gameplay trailer on the PlayStation Showcase yet.
More interesting: According to unspecified sources, the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will not appear exclusively on PlayStation 5, but is also planned for Xbox Series X/S and PC (Steam). However, it is unclear whether the PlayStation version might receive any exclusive content in the form of potential DLC or not.
