4A Games is busy working on the Enhanced Edition of the shooter Metro Exodus. It has now got a final release date, but so far only for one platform.
Accordingly, the prettification of the apocalyptic open world shooter should now appear on May 6th. The date of the Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition has so far only been confirmed for the PC. It is still unclear whether and when the console versions will be available.
The Enhanced Edition is not an update of the existing game, but basically a completely new version of the game. But don’t panic: if you have already purchased the game via Steam, Epic Games, Microsoft Store or GOG, the new version is available for free. With the exception of the Microsoft Store, your existing saved games will also be transferred to the new version.
However, you should remember that the system requirements of the Enhanced Edition require an RTX-20 or RTX-30 graphics card. Not without reason, because the ray tracing will be significantly expanded, including reflections and emissive lighting, and the game will also receive DLSS 2.0 support. All of this is only supported by the two series of NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards.
