Bulletstorm Studios people can fly A new project is under development based on existing Microsoft IP.
That’s according to a statement posted to Polish financial website Interia Biznes via Eurogamer, which says Project Maverick will be funded by Microsoft.
The production and distribution agreement with Microsoft will be on a work-for-hire model based on the publisher’s AAA IP, with a total budget of $30-50 million.
No further information was provided on which IP the developers are working on.
Founded in 2002, People Can Fly is headquartered in Warsaw with branches in the UK and North America. The studio’s previous shooters and action titles include Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Harbinger.
As stated on the studio’s website, it’s working on several games with Project Maverick. Square Enix has Gemini; self-published projects Bifrost, Victoria, and Dagger; concept-stage project Red; and two VR projects — one of which is Bulletstorm VR.
