World Update 11 is now available to everyone Microsoft Flight Simulator player.
Focused on Canada, this update offers you a way to enjoy the diverse nation’s urban architecture, northern coastline, tundra, glaciers and majestic mountains.
To create the update, the development team processed a wealth of up-to-date geospatial data, including digital elevation models, satellite imagery, and aerial photography.
The results highlight 12 urban areas, all enhanced with the latest photogrammetric data along with 87 handcrafted points of interest. Looking at the screenshots, one of the attractions is the Prince of Wales Hotel in Upper Waterton Lakes, Alberta.
This part of the world is part of Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada, which is connected to Glacier National Park in Montana, USA, thus forming the International Peace Park. If you can’t see this absolutely beautiful scenery in person, we think a flight simulator is the next best thing.
In World Update 11, you can also look forward to five handcrafted airports, including British Columbia’s Castlegar/West Kootenay Regional Airport (CYCG), Victoria International Airport and Vancouver Island.
There will be nine missions available, three of which are Bush trips to Vancouver Island, Newfoundland and the Canadian Rockies. Including three landing challenges in Castlegar, Barkerville and Calgary, three Discovery flights will take you to Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto.
