MIFCOM is certainly known to one or the other as a system builder, primarily for gaming PCs of all kinds. Now the Munich company has come up with a very special chunk, which, however, also costs a lot.
With the MIFCOM Streambox Ultra the Munich system builder has come up with something pretty crazy, namely a device that combines gaming PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch in one housing. The target group: gamers, streamers and content creators with a fat wallet, because the brutally powerful Ultra version of the monster costs a whopping 19,999 dollars.
The Corsair Obsidian 1000D housing serves as the chassis for the complete system. The towering tower case offers space for all necessary components, including water cooling with two separate circuits made of EKWB components and four large radiators. This not only keeps the main processor and the graphics card of the PC, but also the motherboards of the Xbox and PlayStation at the right temperature. The system boards have been integrated into the case by MIFCOM’s technicians and equipped with custom-made cooling blocks, which were designed in close cooperation with Thermal Grizzly’s tuning experts.
The consoles are fully functional and all ports can be reached via specially made connection panels on the housing, so that videos can be recorded or transmitted directly using the PC’s internal capture card, for example. Of course, the transportable Nintendo Switch remains mobile. The Obsidian case houses the device’s docking station with the external connection options.
The gaming PC is based on an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme, on which an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 64 GB of Corsair DDR5-6000 Dominator Expo RAM, two PCIe SSDs from Corsair with a capacity of 4 TB each and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 in the Founders Edition are installed. The 26 case fans from Corsair’s QL series can’t be disturbed even when all four units are working at the same time, which are jointly supplied by a Super Flower power supply with a capacity of 2,000 watts. Should more memory or a different main processor be desired, customers can modify the configuration in consultation with MIFCOM’s consulting team.
The Munich computer manufacturer offers further customization options, for example in the form of a special paint finish on the housing or foiling the transparent parts. In this way, buyers can provide their dream computer with their personal logo or motto. Even the software equipment can be adjusted. Each Streambox Ultra is delivered including Windows 11 Professional. If desired, MIFCOM’s technicians will also install a streaming suite such as OBS, so users can get started right out of the box. MIFCOM’s specialists set up each system completely, including all necessary device drivers, updates and the latest BIOS versions, optimize all important settings and then thoroughly test the machine.
The new Streambox Ultra including Microsoft Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation 5 will be available in limited quantities from the end of July 2023 at a unit price of 19,999 dollars. Because every system is carefully manufactured by hand and in close consultation with the customer, the delivery time is several weeks.
