my world A new expansion pack is launching, a Dungeons & Dragons campaign featuring beasts, classes and locations from the acclaimed tabletop role-playing game.
In it, you can choose a class, unlock classic spells, and perform ability checks, all while exploring iconic locations and battling beholders, mimics, and more.
It all starts with playing D&D on tabletop, and you’re transported to the Forgotten Realms, where you’ll see recognizable locations from Icewind Dale and the Sword Coast.
You can choose a class and become a barbarian, paladin, rogue or wizard, each with specific abilities or powers that can be used in real-time battles. You can level up and you’ll increase your stats, gain new abilities, and use various gear. It’s all organized using a menu system to manage everything from skills to inventory.
Monsters include beholders (I hate those things!), swappers, golden dragons, jelly cubes, mimics, and more.
You’ll meet and interact with NPCs in between exploring travel and traveling between cities and villages.
For NPCs, there may be multiple choice interactions, and you may need to roll a d20 to see how successful you are at choosing to attack, persuade, or other interactions.
The Dungeons & Dragons expansion will be approximately 10 hours long and will release Minecraft on all platforms this spring.
