Currently, Microsoft Flight Simulator is completely about flying airplanes. Helicopters, on the other hand, are among the things that developers only want to integrate in the future. Because the game currently has neither a physics nor a flight model for them. That doesn’t stop modders from already installing them.
You can now fly the Airbus H135
On February 27th, the “Hype Performance Group” team released the first version of the Airbus H135 for the Flight Simulator. It is not only completely modeled inside and out, but also already airworthy.
Current restrictions: However, the current version of the H135 does not yet work completely like a real helicopter. Because things like floating in one place in the air do not yet work due to the technical limitations mentioned at the beginning.
Great popularity: With more than 85,000 downloads, the helicopter is by far the most frequently downloaded aircraft on the mod site. In second place is the “Asobo Cessna Citation Model 700 Longitude Performance and Flight Dynamics Modifications Project” with a little less than 30,000 downloads.
However, the fan expansion is not finished yet. Up to the 1.0 release there are further, unspecified improvements to be made.
